May 31, 2019 consistently notice success - count those baby steps

I realized it's been quite a while since I wrote a list of accomplishments. I said once that lists are boring, but I've also said that every single little step matters.  I know all my therapists would agree, & James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits (which I'm currently listening to) would as well.

so, in no particular order -

-writing out a check

-addressing an envelope

-filling out taxi coupons

-holding Cosmo's leash on his daily afternoon walk

-watching challenging vids on YT

-on most days, shortening my rest period a bit, so it's mainly downtime to do some breathing & Feldenkrais

-adding the Infinity Walk (basically an intentional figure 8) to my morning therapy routine

-showing up consistently for my therapies

-doing 5 or 6 outings in a week more regularly

-this past week doing 2 outings in 2 days, IN A ROW!

-adjusting to prescription sunglasses

-adjusting to prisms in my reading glasses

-Moments when I told myself to appreciate what I had just done

-filling in the spaces in the letters of the Consistent sign - more precision.

-writing a note while standing at kitchen counter, instead of always sitting down

I'm going to figure out a system - simple, daily -  so I consistently notice ANY success, & have it to look at when I'm feeling blah.
